Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati has been in the eye of a storm. The latest news suggests that The British Board of Film Classification has apparently decided to not release the film even after they cleared the movie without any cuts, till the Censor Board of India gives it a clean chit.
The makers of the film told a leading news channel that they have decided to put off the release until next year. The source said, “The film has been cleared by the UK Censor Board without any cuts. But we are waiting for censor clearance in India. Till then we will not release the film anywhere. As the film was supposed to release onDecember 1, there are over 50 countries where this process (of certification) is on.”
Padmavati stars Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in lead roles and was slated to be released on December 1 earlier.
